PRP Cosmetic Procedures

Platelet Rich Plasma (or PRP) is your body’s natural product to regenerate beautiful skin, hair, and collagen. PRP actually stimulates the natural stem cells living in our bone marrow or fat layer to migrate to the area of injection to heal and improve the quality of those tissues. Mixed with Radiesse, Hyaluronic Acid Fillers, or Umbilical Cord allograft growth factors, PRP can even give more dramatic improvement in rejuvenating the skin, lifting the face, smoothing the neck, and activating scalp hair regrowth.

More Background Information on PRP

PRP with hyper-dilute Radiesse

This treatment takes 45 minutes and can be done with or without PRP. First, Radiesse is diluted with local anesthetic so that it will act more to stimulate thicker, stronger, tighter new skin rather than add extra volume to the treated area. A little goes a long way. This is especially effective in the side of the face for wrinkles and in the neck area for saggy, loose skin. Dilution with PRP increases the benefits and time released the growth factors in PRP for a continued improvement over 6 months.

PRP for hair regrowth

PRP can also be used, with or without amniotic growth factors, to rebuild the circulation in the scalp for both male and female hair loss. In men, and some women with a family history of male pattern loss, the loss in the top of the scalp can be stopped by taking Finasteride, a medication that blocks the damaging effect of Dihydrotestosterone (DHT) on scalp capillaries. If the loss is everywhere, including the sides and back of the scalp, it is likely genetic female pattern hair loss. Dr. Gardner uses a cold spay (ethyl chloride) to numb the scalp before introducing a tiny needle to treat the scalp in men and women. 3 to 6 treatments may be necessary to achieve your goals. Light based therapies, like our Fotona Time Walker(R)  laser, can also enhance blood flow and work with PRP to regain your full head of hair. Nutritional supplements, like Biotin, L-arginine, D.I.M., Nutrofol, and collagen powder also help to improve results. Prescription low-dose Minoxidil or over-the-counter topical Minoxidil foam are vasodilating medications that help restore blood flow and accelerate hair growth.

PRP face lift and skin rejuvenation

Dr. Gardner’s PRP facial rejuvenation, uses PRP with hyaluronic acid fillers injected in a way to lift the face and reduce fine line wrinkles, naso-labial folds, and marionette lines. PRP can also be microneedled through the surface of the skin to stimulate new collagen and repair damage due to aging. The result is natural and the procedure improves the health of your skin.
